Gateway House of Peace – Per Diem & Part‑Time Caregiver Opportunities

Caregiver Roles: Per Diem, Weekday, Weekend, and Overnight

Caregivers needed to provide comfort care to end-of-life residents under the medical care of Hospice in our two-bedroom residential comfort care home.
Part time positions for overnights, weekdays, and/or weekends with flexible hours: 4 to 8 hour shifts available up to 24 hrs / week
Physically and emotionally able to provide practical and emotional care for residents in their final days of life under Hospice's medical care in their final days of life. Practical care in a clean home setting includes medication administration following Hospice plan; may include showering or bed bathing, (no hoyers, no heavy lifting), toileting, meals, laundry, and maintaining a hygienic environment. Experience preferred, but not required.

Dependable character and personal qualities verified through interviews, reference, and background checks must reflect strong work ethic, integrity, trustworthiness, good listening skills and compassion.

Responsibilities

  • Medication administration following the Hospice treatment plan

  • Personal care including showering or bed bathing (no hoyers, no heavy lifting)

  • Resident support including comfort measures and emotional presence for residents and families

  • Record keeping: ADLs, MAR, and resident communication logs

  • Mobility assistance for residents up to 150 lbs (may require 1–2 person assist)

  • Light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation as needed

Compensation

$15.50–$17.75 per hour Part‑time and per diem positions available.

Current Open Shifts

  • Saturday & Sunday: 7–11am, 11am–3pm, 3–7pm

  • Monday: 7am–3pm

  • Wednesday & Thursday: 3–7pm

  • Friday: 7–11pm (alternating)

Additional shifts available periodically for vacation or coverage needs.
