Family Bereavement Support
The Family Bereavement Support Program is a new initiative designed to help families feel supported and remembered, especially during the first year after the loss of a loved one. Through thoughtful gestures like resource lists, remembrance notes, cards, and other messages, we aim to remind families that their loved one—and their grief—are not forgotten.
The time we spend with each resident and their family creates lasting memories for our staff and volunteers. These connections stay with us, and we want each family to know how much their loved one meant to us. At Gateway House, every resident leaves a lasting imprint. Each family becomes a meaningful part of our story, reminding us of our purpose and the importance of compassionate care.
This program was originally made possible through the generosity of a donor grant. If you would like to support the continuation of this meaningful outreach, your donation can make a real difference. Click here to make a donation.
Contributions help cover the costs of special remembrance items, printing resource lists and cards, and mailing these materials to families. Your support allows us to extend our care beyond Gateway House and beyond the time a loved one spends with us.
The early months after a loss are often the most difficult. Through this program, we strive to walk alongside families as they begin to navigate life without their loved one, offering comfort, connection, and ongoing support.
